It’s Hammer time

Hammer

Project Hammer is racy retro at its best. A long, sleek cigarette boat that tops out at 50+ knots, it combines the steely edge of a Magnum 60 with cool sophistication. Carving through the water with ease and agility it’s the racehorse of luxury leisure boats, refitted by Perini Navi and reimagined by Vripack.

SEX APPEAL ON WATER

Paying homage to the celebrated creativity of the 1940/50s – an era of revolutionary design – Project Hammer is the epitome of sex appeal on water. A Wimbledon white exterior and sumptuous day beds brilliantly contrast with an aqua colored translucent windscreen and matt stainless steel finishes. The symmetrical dashboard features a 1950’s-inspired aeronautical aesthetic that is ideal for fast-paced enjoyment at the helm, while the side air vents and exhaust are newly fitted with custom backlit grills and a plate beat blasted steel trim. The name ‘Hammer’, stamped into brushed stainless steel in a bold Art Deco font, underpins the owner’s industrial-chic vision for this 60 ft boat.

‘If Magnum designed the boat today, this is how we believe they would design her.'

MARNIX HOEKSTRA - CO-CREATIVE DIRECTOR

The Magnum itself has plenty of racehorse pedigree, which was Vripack’s starting point for the refit.

The interior sees white-washed European oak twinned with white satin finished paintwork. The switchboard panel in the main salon has a subtle resemblance to a 1960’s transistor radio, while a black woven herringbone composite floor with bronze stitch makes a daring contemporary statement. Four custom leather storage bags in the master suite echo the use of tobacco-hued leather-stitched detailing in the main salon, alongside chunky marble basins in the additional day head and en-suite.

Seductive in design, yet exhilarating in performance, Project Hammer is the queen of reimagined day boats.
