LUXURY CHARTER BOAT
What do you get if you combine a discerning owner and a design firm capable of creating seaworthy yachts with plenty of volume? The answer is 45m Amadeus I, a highly engineered boat with space, long-range and enduring style.
When launched in 2014 under the name Beluga, the boat was ahead of its time. While more than meeting the experienced owner’s expectations for onboard comfort, the inclusion of open-plan space both inside and out has led the 500GT yacht to become one of the most popular charter yachts on the market today.
With a cruising range of 4000 nm and a top speed just shy of 14 knots, the four-decked boat with a shallow draft is as comfortable cruising the waters of the Caribbean as it is Mediterranean bays.
An Art Deco interior design, created by Vripack confirms how a well-engineered platform that has taken technical practicalities into consideration from the outset can elevate a bold aesthetic to the next level. Fusing color with form, interior artistry supports the design language throughout. For example, the use of wood-paneling on interior walls where the grain runs horizontally creates a clever sense of expanse.
Built by Shipyard Timmerman, Vripack undertook the exterior design, naval architecture, and interior layout. A key design element is the expansive sun deck with a barbecue and Jacuzzi set up for the ultimate al fresco experience.
Accommodating 12 guests in six well-appointed staterooms – including a full-beam owner’s suite – a 2019 refit saw the sought-after asset of a large beach club and a chest of water toys added to the yacht’s list of amenities, cementing its position as a boat with style and longevity.
