Jeroen Schoonheim

Partner, Managing Director

Jeroen’s connection to yachting began with a childhood spent on the Frisian inland waterways

In the winters he restored wooden sailing boats with his father, while in the summers he sailed, maintained and refined boats of his own. From racing model yachts on the Bosbaan in Amsterdam to hands-on craftsmanship, he developed a lasting affinity for life on the water.

Jeroen trained in furniture making and worked in yacht interior construction before developing a stronger interest in people, the power of collaboration and the organisation behind the work. He went on to study Business Administration adding a broader layer of strategic perspective to his technical foundation.

As Partner and Managing Director at Vripack, he is motivated by facilitating a studio environment that actively encourages collaborative craftsmanship. As a considered and observant leader, he prefers to move alongside his team rather than ahead, diligently ensuring the right conditions, structure and support are in place for people to perform at their best. Today, he continues to sail the Frisian lakes with his family and friends, drawing inspiration from nature and architecture to better understand the work and mindset of designers.
