For Jim, what began as a passion for inland sailing matured into a pursuit of boundary-pushing ventures that took him to coastal waters and eventually into offshore racing.
Raised in a watersports-minded family, each experience and discipline brought new challenges, sharpening both his skill and resilience on the water.
The many winters he spent immersed in maintenance and refit projects earned him a deep, practical understanding of what it takes to keep a vessel performing at its best. This balance between sailing and workmanship led him to study naval architecture, turning instinct and curiosity into technical expertise.
At Vripack, Jim’s broad skill set of engineering, functional design and thought-provoking layouts is fully realised in his role as Senior Project Manager, where he seamlessly blends practical insight and design sensibility in every project.
