Fuel for Thought – Nuclear
The yachting industry is currently undergoing a significant energy transition, driven not only by technological advancements and economic factors but also by an urgent environmental need. The demand for cleaner, more sustainable energy solutions is rapidly increasing due to social pressure, evolving policies, and stricter regulations aimed at reducing emissions. As nuclear energy, with its potential for zero emissions and advanced reactor technologies, garners more attention as a carbon-free power source, the question arises: could it be a viable option for the yachting sector?
I will be presenting nuclear fuel as an alternative to what the industry is currently focussing on. A thought provoking challenging prospect which I am sure a lot of people in the audience will feel reluctant about! So great fuel for thought.
