If ever there was a boat akin to a pocket army knife on water, the Anytec A30 is it. The Scandinavian brand’s flagship model oozes masculine sophistication, underpinned by a bare aluminium aesthetic. Conceived primarily to be a commuter boat for Northern Europeans traveling to and from their holiday homes in colder climes, the 30ft (9m) production boat offers two critical factors: comfort and speed.
Following the success of Anytec and Vripack’s first collaboration on the A21 model, the Dutch design studio was tasked with the role of elevating the A30 to a cut above the rest. Anytec’s prestige reputation is for clean design and maintenance-free ownership, but Vripack took the design of the A30 back to the drawing board by proposing a human-centric design.
‘To draw a distinction between a standard layout where the helm is starboard, joined by a co-driver seat and further seating aft, we wanted to step this model up to make the onboard experience altogether more inclusive. So we placed the owner in the middle and designed the boat around him.'

Anchored by a stunning console which takes its design lead from a Formula 1-style cockpit, the central helm features an armrest, digital screens, two seats side-by-side, and two guest seats behind. A vast and sporty, sloping windscreen provides protection from the wind when traveling at full throttle, not to mention incredible sprawling views. And central seating means an incredibly smooth and comfortable ride for all, whatever the weather.
The addition of a day head port side aft, two bunk beds forward located under the windscreen, and an outdoor barbecue starboard aft inject some leisure potential into this workhorse of a boat, too. With virtual reality playing a starring role in the development of the design – not only in regard to look and feel, but also sightlines, space planning, and layout – it’s testament to Vripack’s creative foresight that already many models have been sold of the A30.
‘Cruising in a boat of that size from the centreline feels incredible. We sailed speeds up to 60 knots and have not felt unsafe for one moment.'
