Vripack are delighted to share the news that Queen Tati has been announced as a finalist for ‘Best Naval Architecture’ in the Boat International Design & Innovation Awards 2024. Designed by Vripack, Queen Tati was the studio’s third collaboration with Brazilian shipyard, MCP Yachts, who are specialists in full custom, full aluminium builds.
This is the owner’s second yacht from Vripack – a step up from their previous 75-foot boat and designed to maximise onboard space for multigenerational life on the water, whilst preserving the family’s love of anchoring in small bays. The 121-footer strikes a considered balance with social areas that maintain convenience and flexibility, emphasised by Vripack’s smart architecture and layout.
Bart M. Bouwhuis, Vripack’s Co-Creative Director said, “For the owners, it’s less about world travel and more about touring together. They liked our studio’s approach to layout, in that the boat needs to match the family lifestyle, rather than the family having to fit around a typical yacht design.”
Talking about his vision for the yacht, the owner said, “We wanted a boat that has lots of different areas – cosy nooks and seating areas where you can be together, yet still move around for a change of scene. Queen Tati gives us a big boat experience on a yacht where we feel close to one another. It’s the dream.”
The winner will be announced as part of Boat International’s Superyacht Design Festival, taking place in Kitzbühel on 28th January
